All seven of them. Is it the heat, or something else?

All are in great health, are fed the same pellets for many months and have fresh water all the time. They were pulling out feathers awhile back but have stopped that all together now. It was happening for about two weeks about 2 months ago. They get to forage around our property almost every day and don't show any signs of any problems at all. If they don't start producing, I will have to make dinner out of them as I'm not raising for pets. They are for eggs only, even though they all have names and are very friendly. What are your suggestions?

You don't say how old they are but this time of year they molt, and egg production halts. I have 40 layers and down to 8-12 eggs per day. 1st year pullets do not usually have this problem which is why most serious egg producers change their flocks annually.

That's weird because all of my friends that have chickens here are still getting a good amount of eggs a day. Five of mine are 1-1/2 y/o and the other two are about 6 months old. One of them was nesting today so maybe I'll get something from her. Thanks for the info, though. I did notice a bunch of feathers in the run again after letting them out for awhile.
