Thick egg shells

My free range chickens have really thick egg shells. Has anyone ever had problems with hatching because of this?

It's possible, yes. The larger the eggs the thicker the shells typically (and the chicks can get out if it's supposed to be thicker because it's larger), but if your shells are unusually thick for their size, you may be feeding the birds something you can change if you plan to hatch them.
