Thread title sounds weird, but we have a hen laying very different than last fall.

I read up about the egg white not being clear and having more of a white haze appearance. Everything I’ve read says that’s a sign of a fresh laid egg. I’ve had many fresh eggs that didn’t look like that. Even from the same hen. It’s even more globby/sticky than before.

Photo attached. I have been eating them and so has my son. But my other half swears there is something wrong with them and won’t touch them lol I would like to clarify for his sake so he’ll eat the damn things. We don’t need to buy more grocery store eggs.

The eggs are in the dogs raw food, as we add one a day.

The other hens egg. If it’s a sign of a fresh laid egg, then why isn’t this fresh egg the same? 🤔

Could be excess funky membrane.
Might start opening in a solid colored(not white) dish to get a better look.

Cracked one of hers open in the dogs dish while it was empty. Everything I have is white  also noticed that her yolks separate instantly. She is older from what I was told when I got her. Maybe 4 or 5 yrs. Still, the other half won’t eat these eggs just because they’re weird

Of course it’s on a semi white plate :p but you can see the other hens yolk is anchored in the middleish and the whites are more of a yellowed/clear color.

If they taste fine to you I wouldn't worry about it. I personally think it's super convenient that the yolks separate from the whites, sure would make my lunches easier to fix (I poach, but I separate the whites from the yolks so I can keep the yolks super runny).

The stn stl shows it well.....it is odd.
What breed is she?

I'd scramble them up, they would not be good for fried eggs.

That must be a bit tricky.
Do you poach in cups or water?
