I have had a few chickens for about 6 years now. I currently have 2 roosters & 11 hens of various breeds. Out of all my hens, I have one that lays eggs with very thin shells. All of the other eggs have healthy hard shells. Why would this one hen lay these thin shell eggs?

It could be age related. My oldest hen, only about 4 now, lays eggs with very thin shells. She has access to oyster shell and layer feed. I think they start losing their ability to produce the shells as they get older. Lucy, my oldest, only lays an egg occasionally now. They are always large and always thin shelled.
