Help! I’ve got one hen, out of 15, laying consistently thin shelled, or soft shelled eggs. They are oddly shaped, and it has started some egg eating habits that I am keen to put an end to. All birds have access to the same feed, a blend I mix which contains crushed oyster shell to supplement calcium She is one of my three red bird (Production Red and two RIR), so I can’t quite tell who is laying the bad egg. Any tips, or has her time in our homestead come to an end?

Do you know the ages of the the red birds? If you weren't having this issue before and they're on the older side, it's might just be a part of aging. If you can ID exactly which bird it is you can supplement calcium directly to that bird, but you may possibly need to do that during duration of laying for the rest of her life.
