Things you would miss about chickens

I would miss them looking in my front door for peanuts...it's like crack to them.

I would miss their morning egg celebration "song"...their fluffy rear-ends...the way they run and flap across the yard to greet me! I love to watch them...they make me smile.

LOL! Chickens can get very beady when they fixate on a particular kind of food. Peanuts huh? Mine love meat, they love it when I throw a lamp chop out for them (a leftover not the whole chop!). Wow, it's like watching a bunch of crazy dinosaurs.

I would miss watching them run around the yard as I sit on my deck drinking morning coffee, I also think they would miss me because when I get home from work they come running to see if I have anything for them.
I know what you mean! I get home from vacation with my family, and they all come running to me. <3 It's too cute.

Yeah I get plain unsalted peanuts and they love them. I gave that to them a lot in the winter. They even look for the peanut jar and peck at it when they see it. Mine love meat too...they pretty much get whatever we eat. If we have steak...they get steak.

Funniest thing to watch is throwing out spaghetti noodles. There can be a whole bowl of noodles but if one has a noodle hanging from it's beak...they all want that one noodle. Crazy chickens!

Yep, feeding time at the zoo huh! Thanks so much everyone, you are helping me to remember what I like so much about having them around. I so miss giving them spaghetti, my goodness they go demented!

I would miss feeding them snacks. They crowd around you and start clucking a lot and they are all up in your face and then they get tired of standing there so they jump up and grab the treat! And then they nearly rip off your fingers when they eat it <3

( my old chicken) Brownie used to always peck on the door for cheese ( its a glass door) so i would sit there and open the door. She would climb onto my lap and beg for cheese :) i would give her cheese and she would run back outside :) I was probably around 8-9. It was so cute :)
