For one, the red wattle kind of gives it away lol but at hatch I had 3 with brown on their backs and 1 that was all blue and slightly smaller. They are a golden campine/splash Andalusian (roo) cross. I wondered if the would be sexable at birth since they had the brown and I don't know if it coincidence bit those 3 brown back chicks are now sporting big combs lol. But so stinking cute!

This has always worked for me ty a small ball on a string put it over there heads circle means girls boys are straight

One of those chicks appears to have a rose comb, so that little one likely has a different biological mother.

No, not possible. Besides her laying a clutch of eggs, alone and disappearing for 4 days, she was sitting on her eggs and her alone, I only have 3 white egg layers, 2 campines and an Andalusian and the Andalusian stopped laying and the other Campine laid in the nest box. It's not a rose comb, it's just a comb that hasn't come up yet because it's the only girl, IMO

Too young to be sure. No sexlinking with that combination of parents.
Autosexing then? I always get confused with the terminology and I know they say no, not possible but it's coincidental that the 3 with brown on their backs have grown combs and wattles all ready. :)

Very cute! They look blue?
Please post pictures later too.

Yup, they are blue.

Combs don't 'come up'. A single comb is a always a single comb, even at hatch. The other three don't not have very large combs, considering they are Andalusian crosses. It doesn't mean they are male. It's not size of the comb that determines gender, but how soon the combs turn red.

Not autosexing either. The Campine has the 'darkbrown' gene which produces brown chick down.

I know they don't "come up" I just meant it hasn't grown yet. You can see it if you are looking at it but from a distance, or apparently in this picture, you can't see it. I am by no means an expert but in all of the eggs and chicks I've raised, again, no expert, but I have been able to identify the males by the comb growth, especially when compared to the same breed side by side. I have said from the beginning, and on another thread here, that I believed at least 2 of the 3 I am referring too, were male, from day 2. But it's fine. It really doesn't matter, I know it's early, I'm just showing off pics and giving my opinion.

Thanks
