Think I might have just cooked my eggs....arrrggghhh....update

Went into lockdown Thursday night......temp and humidity was fine. I check often and the temp was getting low so I turned up the switch.....still low so I turn it up again....then I realize its up as far as it goes and the temp is still reading about 96 degrees....so I get a different thermometer and put it in the incubator....this one reads about 109.

What do you think my chances are of any hatching at this point? Today is day 16.

readjust the temp back to 100. and let it go until day 21,maybe some will hatch.

OOOhhhhh... I would do what kingbee said. Let's hope for the best!

I had that happened to me once and ever since, I heep two thermometers in all my incubators!!!

that happened to me last month. Nothing hatched I let it ride the whole time, but didn't even have developement when I opened them later. Sorry to hear.

i havnt hatched any quail eggs yet but i got some turkey duck and chicken eggs right now that i had in my dads old incubator and didnt realize that for the first 3 day the temp was going from 110- 90 degrees through out the day. so now i got them in my new incubator that stays at 99 degrees and about half have development in them and its been about a week and a half. so there is still a chance that if mine lived ur might have to but not for sure on quail since they are small i would just wait it out.

Yea...I am waiting it out. Today is day 17 and nothing so far. Already started another batch in the other bator.

I'll wait until probably Wed and then call it quits. I am not real hopeful though at this point.

It depends on how long they were that hot. It takes a good while for the temp of the egg to reach air temp.

well, I had 6 hatch today and so far all are doing well. Will wait a couple more days.
