    Think I'm Addicted To Ameraucanas And Ee's. I Know They're Different. Those Are The Breeds I'm Settling On While Throwing In Some Br, Bsl, Buff Orp, And Red Sex Link For Good Genetic Diversity.

    So what is it attracting you to Ameraucanas (true ones lay blue eggs) or EE's (these can actually be made from any breed that you cross into the blue egg layers like true Ameraucanas or Araconas).

    If you go with EE's you can have a pretty diverse flock in color AND type.

    So how are you planning to go about this? From what I know (not much, mind you) a hen will lay the color of egg from her parent's genes not from the roo she is mated with.

    So you could get some really nice colors and do RAINBOW EGGS by running a variety of breeds, too.

    I am addicted to Ameraucanas, too, and I have plenty of EEs to play with too.... I'm in love!!!![​IMG]
