I have 10 chickens outside and 4 inside

9 out of the 10 of my chickens outside have never seen snow they are under a year old and this is their first winter
I have a NH red shes been through a few winters already
Lt bramha
Golden laced wyandotte
Polish
Silkies silkie mix
Barred rock
And dark brahma
Now it isn't my standard size chickens or even my polish I am worried about
But yesterday I went and opened the coop as usual, no one wants anything to do with the snow, I did shovel their run but they want to stay in the coop.
Which is fine it's a big shed about 10 x12 x12
But i still left the coop door open just incase

However one of my silkie mix guys must of got picked on and jumped out in the run
My son came and told me he was just sitting there in the snow
So I go out and the snow was just a wee bit too high for his little legs, so he just sat there , so I pick him up bring him inside to warm up, (hes the lowest in the pecking order so a little extra spoiling)

And he enjoyed meeting my inside chickens

So today I didn't even bother opening the coop I didn't want that to happen again as I have 2 other full silkies which dont fly, and I dont want them to get stuck in the snow for who knows how long before they are noticed

There coop like I said is very large, the floor doesn't sit on the ground, they have plenty of roost, a table with all their food and water, a window to sit at and look out

You think they will be ok like that?
I feel bad but they want nothing to do with the snow anyway

Don't blame them ... Thinking they should be ok, depending how much snow, shovel a walkway and area then lay some straw down? I'd keep the Silkies in the house or coop, their insulation isn't great due to their feathering. No snow here but lots of rain
