My mom has 5 guineas that are free range. about a week ago one of the 2 females went missing. We all assumed she was setting and my mom said she even thought she heard her calling to the others a few times.
Yesterday morning the missing female was back with all the other guineas which seemed odd to us, Until my sister stopped by and told me her son had heard what he thought was a guinea in distress and went and checked on theirs. I guess he didn't know my mom had one out setting somewhere so only checked on his.
My mom and I went searching. We found her nest. Most broken eaten I suspect because it was only shells. 5 were left in the nest, a 6th was off through part of a fence but stuck by a log. I'm guessing something gave up trying to squeeze it through?
We took the eggs and I have them in my incubator at the moment.
Do you think they have any chance of being okay? I'm guessing they've had about a week start...
