Thinking about buying....

Hey all!
I am thinking about buying some chickens from a local man. a pair of blue cochins, trio bantam white, silver laced hen, birchen roo all for $50.....what do you think? Is it a good deal? I really want to focus on cochins and silkies for breeding...so I am very interested. I know that all are under 1.5 years old.

All are cochins...forgot to mention that.

I don't know much about SQ... but I know they are VERY beautiful. I have 3 of his Silver Laced Cochins already.

sounds like a very fair price for buying that many hens this time of year.

As long as you like the quality of the birds, go for it.

I would only let someone pay me to take bantams... everyone has to pull their weight on our farm.

MNKris, I was wondering about the fly population being affected. I hope so. I know Millie loves going out to help me feed my horses and hangs out with them during the day. As soon as these guys are big enough, they'll be out there too.
