I've never had it, though. It's one of those foods that other members of my immediate family react badly to so I'm not brave enough to try it and end up miserable for days like they did.

Lamb, cooked properly, is one of my favorite meats.
Perhaps you or @Everose is mistaking lamb for being the same as mutton?

I wouldn't try it either, if my immediate family had reacted badly! It's not worth it.

It's two names pronounced as one word, if it were two I would've spelled it EveRose. I've thought about changing it to EveRose before.

I only had lamb cooked one way once. I'm going to try it again, then I'll decide for sure wether or not I actually like it. I won't raise one just to not like the way it tastes though. Too much time and effort.

I've had lamb burgers at the 4h fair. They are just ok.
But, once my husband used ground lamb for taco meat. I thought he used rotten beef or it tasted like it was just about to expire. He asked something about the meal, I said it tasted a little rancid to me. He thought it tasted good. Then, he said - oh you must not like lamb. I was like oh that makes sense now why it tasted funny.
I don't really like goat meat either.
My main meats are beef and chicken and it has to be cooked a certain way.
