Thinking about getting PDZ but have questions

Hey everyone!
I'm thinking about getting Sweet PDZ for my roosting trays since everyone raves about it.
A couple questions though:
Is it safe to put in a compost?
How long would a 50# bag last? (Generally)

How much to use depends on size of the poop boards, how many chickens, and how often you sift it, it should be a couple inches thick. I can’t answer about compost but it hasn’t hurt our compost pile at all.

I even put poo coated with the sweet pdz in my big garden. Pdz, diamateous earth, sweet barn lime can all be used in the garden compost.

As already noted, yes it is compost safe. How much ghoul use well depend on the footprint of the area you wish to cover and at what depth. My current board is 2x4 ft and I cover it with about 1/2 inch of pdz, some prefer it deeper,but I find it unneccessary. I buy 40lb bags and they last 4+ month's at this use level.

I make it about 1 inch thick. Get the granules not the powder. And yes I put it in the compost.

My poop board is 2' x 12' and I used almost 3 bags (75 lbs) to make it 1/2" thick. IMO any thicker than that is not necessary. Right now it's probably closer to 1/4". Yes you can dump it in your compost pile.

Granules huh!?! What kind of sifter do you use? Cat liter scoop?
I've never seen either product in person so sorry for asking "newbie" questions

Thanks for painting a picture for me that's about what size my board is too. Are you also using granules?

I use granules and a cat litter scoop. Don't forget to get a container/bucket to put the poop in, to carry it to your compost pile.
