My questions are:
Best breeds for meat NOT dual purpose?
Housing- tractor/ coop or both?
Cost of culling supplies?
Age to cull (based on breed?)
How many to get- family of 3 with LOTS of immediate family that would likely buy processed birds from us?

My intent for my first meat birds is to try a modest batch of Cornish X and a modest batch of insert-proprietary-name-here Rangers to see what I like better.

Probably a tractor -- the hope is to move it around my orchard for fertilization. But not carved in stone.

I have Cornish bantams (Will be getting standards next year). They got big pretty fast (about 14 weeks and then stopped around 16 weeks. The bantams are bice, I can keep them in rabbit stackers and use less room that way for extra roosters

Depending on your climate spring may be the worst time to get a batch of meat birds. To process them in Summer can be very uncomfortable. Call me a Hypocrite because I end up doing it in the spring when chicks are cheaper lol. In my Climate the best time is late august so its warm when they are chicks and cool by the time they are processed.
