I am contemplating ordering some khaki Campbells. Things are warming up here and I think I have more drake than I was hoping for. One of my Rouens is got quite a green sheen to its head and we have a Pekin drake. I’m thinking of ordering 3 or 4 khaki Campbell females, assuming I can place a small order, if I do, are there any tricks or tips for integrating them into the current 9 week old flock ? What age can I send them out to live in the enclosure and the duck house? What night temps do I need to wait for assuming our duck house is pretty well protected?
Also does anyone have any experience with freedom ranger hatchery? They were recommended by a local.

Given the crisis, hatcheries are very busy trying to fill orders out, don't know if it would be the best time to order currently since the ducklings may get stuck in transit for longer than expected. If you have a local breeder nearby, where you could pick them up that'd be a lot better.

I would be delighted to buy local if I could figure out where. The recommended hatchery is in PA which is 5-8 hours away depending on area, so ideally they wouldn’t be in transport all that long, however I dunno how it would be shipping a short-ish distance

Did you look on craigslist? I got two female welsh harlequin ducks from a local duck breeder.

i searched extensively locally, and called a couple of the closer hatcheries, either it was a minimum of 15 or just none available. i ended up ordering from Metzer, so i am very nervous about the shipment but as things seem to be loosening up virus wise i hope they wont encounter delays. i figure the metzer people know what they are doing or they wouldn't still be doing it. right? i hope? in any event i ended up with 4 khaki campbells arriving early june.. i would have loved to do runners but didn't want to start them that late as they would be on the youngish side as the weather gets colder. i also got their recommended vitamin supplement, figured all the help they could get was a good idea. i have heard folks on here recommend scrambled eggs, is this a good idea immediately uppon arrival? what should i look for? i seem to have gotten very fortunate with the first batch that everyone was relatively healthy once i got the niacin all straightened out.
