Thinking about raising geese next spring for meat.

Geese are all wearing waterproof goose down jackets. Winter is not a problem as long as they can get water to drink and have feed.

Geese, butcher 9-11 weeks, 15-17 weeks, 22-26 weeks. Feel the breast for pin feathers and butcher when they are fully feathered to save yourself a lot of work. I suggest the 15-17 week pin-feather-free period, since they do not add enough additional weight after that to justify the feed costs.
