Hi all, I don't have a picture at this time. I have 6 buff orpingtons. 5 of the chickens have very light small combs, and really not much of a waddle on the side of their faces. 1 of them has a much larger comb and it is very red and has waddles that are starting to hang on side of face. I have not heard any crowing though. Could a hen look like this? I will try to get a picture within the next day and post. Thanks.

If it has thicker legs, less feathering and growing faster than others with the red comb your 99% sure cockerel. Some birds mature faster and some hens can sport large combs. A picture is worth a thousand words and what age are they?
