thinking of buying a grinder...

Hey there...I have yet another stupid question for all you experts out there..
I am a new chick owner, I have 12 babies in a brooder, happy as can be so, so far so good. When they get older will they eat corn? I have a garden and I planted some extra veggies for them including corn. i want to invest in a small grinder so i can grind the corn. will that work?

You shouldn't need to grind it, their gizzard will do that. I've read it's easier to digest when it is cracked but unless you are supplying all of their food I wouldn't worry about it. Mixing in a few pounds of home grown whole corn would be fine. Now if you're talking about an acre of corn that grinder will be handy, for you and the chickens.
