What Greens do chickens like?

I'm a bit late I guess, but I've just joined and would like to help 🙂 I buy frozen mixed veggies that has green beans in there and they love that, also peas. You can thaw them first, or if it's hot it's a cool treat 😎🙂
I gave my frozen peas and they ate them, then the next time they were thawed and the girls wouldn't touch them! They are funny creatures though.

There must be something wrong with our chickens - the only human foodstuffs they'll eat, thus far, is watermelon, (the only kind of melon they like), and scrambled eggs. No veggies, no other fruit, not even apples, no bread, and they will not touch boiled chicken. I haven't tried steak because there's never any left over.
I tried beef scraps once, and they were gone. When I told my sister she said, "That seems kind of wrong ... chickens eating beef." Then she was in fits imagining my flock of five pecking at a cow lol.

i think I’ll start offering frozen veggies thawed out this winter. i now buy coleslaw by the bag and chop it all up. They like the purple cabbage bits and not a fan of carrots at all. They love broccoli hung in the run. Chickens wont eat the broccoli if I toss it in the run. I also grow Kale and prop it up or hang it so its like eating it off the stalk. Hanging veggies is a great way to offer them. veggies stay clean and I can easily recognize consumption. I also have large serving serving spoons like for soup hung up on hardware cloth in the run to put any food that I’d rather not have on the ground. The stainless spoons are very easy to clean as well. I actually have 5 different feeding stations for 5 hens. I like to make sure every hen gets her fair share without getting bullied. 🤷‍♀️🐓❤️
I buy bags of pre cut lettuce and come slaw mix also. Anything hanging from the c ceiling is avoid and seemed to scary 😂 and yes!! Bullying over food does happen. I've got my girl Henrietta in time out because of this.

My food bully has been much calmer over food since she came off being broody. My two groups (one of three and one of two, or one whilst her sister was broody) have got on great, and now I have an actual flock of 5 instead of two groups.

my hens love boiled chicken, but around here we call it ‘protein’. molting hens could use the extra protein 🐓❤️

She will be back with everyone soon, I've got hubby building a bigger coop. I think that will help too.
