What Greens do chickens like?

they might enjoy cabbage or kale.

not a vegetable, but my chickens like watermelon.
Same for mine!! I've had many unripe melons this year from my garden and I fed them to my chickens. Great treat for the summer, too, because they love drinking the juice...Very refreshing for them! My chickies also get a few raw eggs a day, because one of our hens was on meds a while ago so we can't eat any of our eggs (all of them are the same color so we can't tell who's whose egg.)

Kale is our silkies absolute favorite green!

We have chicken wire around our garden, otherwise they would mow it down.

When it get big, I pick several leaves and hold out a handful of it, and they go nuts. Otherwise, I've bound it with twine and hung it for them to pick off chunks.
Mine go crazy for kale & broccoli. Also dandelion greens.

Is it ok? I would love to feed them kale if I could.

Somewhere on the internet I read that chicken shouldn't have kale. Was that a lie?
Can you please provide a link to where you read that? I'd love to read it in context. Sometimes there is something more there than just a simple statement.

I grow kale. My wife and I eat kale. It's not my favorite green but it's OK. My chickens usually eat kale if I offer it to them but if they have other options they might prefer those.

Hi again, I’m just wondering what fruit and veggies chickens like to eat. Mine are being a bit picky. We’ve given them lettuce, silver beet, spinach, carrots, cucumber, apple, broccolini and sweet corn and they don’t seem to want any of it. They are sometimes interested in the cucumber and occasionally peck at the spinach, but apart from that they don’t seem interested. We have, or had, a lot of greenery in the garden, but they’ve eaten most of it so we’re trying to supply them with extra. What other greens can we try?
Mine detest broccoli.

But I give them a head of cabbage and they go bananas! Oh also they won’t eat bananas.

Right now it pumpkins. Mr Pumpkin Head didn’t last long this past week.
