Thinking of buying this coop...

I am thinking of buying this chicken coop (So I could get more hens lol) how many chickens can it fit? I'll have an 8 feet by 4 feet long chicken run ill attach to this. I am having a hard time understanding the dimensions so maybe some of you can give me some advice? Thanks, I posted a link, some photos and the description from the post below.

I say 6-7 chickens.

Rule of thumb is generally minimum 4sq ft of coop floor space per bird and 10sq ft per bird of run space. More if your chickens are confined to the coop for inclement weather for long periods (winter). Best of luck!

Peeps recommend 3-4 ft per bird INSIDE the coop, so you're looking at 8 birds to comfortably reside within during night time or inclement weather. You can squeeze a few more in with an attached run.

It's recommended to have at least 4 sg ft per bird in the run as an FYI.

That cute! I think if your chickens only have the 8’x4’ coop and 8’x4’ run then you would be limited by the 10 sqft per chicken in the run, so that would be 3 full size chickens. The coop itself could contain up to 8 full size chickens if there is 8’ of roosting space and a much larger run.

Based on the size of the run you plan to attach, I wouldn't try to house more than 4 or 5.

Size of the run is the limiting factor here, not the coop, so 3 standard hens max.
