Thinking of getting Alpacas

We are thinking about getting Alpacas and was wondering if they get along with chickens. Does anyone have Alpacas and chickens in the same area?

If they're reared around them they can make good chook guards apparently. Never done it but have heard of more than a few who do. For chooks though livestock guardian dogs are probably a better bet.
