Thinking of going more self-sufficient? How about building a windmill?

Great pics!! Thanks for sharing. I guess one like that could run your well so you'd always have water even if you don't have power.
 
Katy, thank you for posting these. I've got goosebumps now. Isn't it amazing how history is still alive all around us? Imagine all the folks who have depended on those windmills and how they kept pumping! A hundred years of families drank that water, washed their clothes, and cooked their meals because of it!

Kudos to you and your husband for keeping them turning!

I would have one in a heart beat, but there isno way the city will allow one on our small postage stamp of a lot.
Heck they wouldnt let the farmer with 10+ acres put one up.
