Thinking of selling coops

We bought our latest coop from a guy we met here, listing right in BST...

He setup a webpage with photos of the models and basic ideas of what each model would cost.
We had him modify one model extensively.
My wife and I love it...

He also has the coops on consignment at the local feed stores and sells many that way.
Do Not advertise in the Coops section, it'll get you a reprimand and then banned...

Good Luck

sounds like a great idea.

We have been looking and looking and looking for a local coop or chicken tractor as we want to avoid shipping. They are really hard to find. Make sure you list on Craigslist etc.

good luck!

Depending on price, I'd be interested in buying one from you. Of course it wouldn't be right away because I'd have to save up the money but I'd love to have someone build me one. My husband doesn't have the time and I don't have the know-how. If the price is right... Tulsa isn't all THAT far from here, I could come down and pick it up with a trailer.

It's a great idea.
My DH builds brooders and coops also. Although you will have some copying your design.
I just saw my DH's original brooder design for sale on Craigs List from someone else with a few minor modifications.

I just ordered one I found on Craigslist here in CA! I didn't find any I cared for in my area, so I went North. One I contacted never got back to me

, another was telling me well built and solid it was and he charged for $$$ it, but I was on a budget! Finally found a nice man who let me buy the coop house sans run, and was willing to modify it just for me! I'm going to drive up next week and pick it up. I can't wait! I love that he was willing to modify, it's a very nice little coop, perfect as an add-on to my existing run! He has it down so he can finish it in a day and for a coop about 4' x 4' x 2' on 2' legs wired on the bottom, he's charging me $150. It has 2 nest boxes and a perch, and a little ladder.

I admit to being utterly hopeless with wood, and I'm thrilled to have found him! From talking to him, he's been pretty busy building coops. True, he's near to the Bay Area and I hear of SO many people wanting to get chickens now! Good luck!
