Thinking of turkeys (Boubourn Red), don't know if they will survive

If you clip 1 wing it might keep them a 9 ft fence but I don't like wing clipping. Flight is their only line of defense if a predator gets after them. If they fly out of your fence, they will come back if you rais them at your house.

quit worrying about keeping them in, they are not dumb bird. They will stay close to where tehy feel safe and plenty of food is another big thing. Unless you have an animal that is constantly harassing them yo have nothing to worry about. If in doubt then keep one bird locked up while you let the other free range for a few weeks. Then let the other loose and you wil find they will stay around.

Uno problemo. There is probably a fox or large cat hanging around. Dad saw one a couple days ago. And we found a dead grouse with a broken breastbone on our back porch. I dont know if it will go away, or if Turkeys would be bothered by it.

well you could shoot the fox, or get a dog to chase it away. My birds get along great with my lab. I did lose three birds to the lab when she was a puppy but she is now great with them all. She will nip at one as it goes paster her playing or splash the flock when I throw her ball in their direction but no more problems.
