Thinned Neck Feathers

I just noticed today one of my Plymouth Rocks has thinned/short neck feathers. Its definitely noticeable and weird. Any ideas. Thanks in advance!!

Are they short and spikey? If so, she is molting and they are pin feathers.

Yes, spikey. Thank you. Molting now? Is there anything I need to worry about with the cold weather and all?

they are about 8 month old

Yep, molting now. Some/not all pullets will molt their first autiumn/winter. Provide plenty of feed and she should be fine. Supplementing with added protein will help, but is not necessary. You will be amazed at how rapidly she feathers out.
