Thinning the flock.

What does everyone do with hens that have stopped laying or roosters when you have too many? Any advise would be welcomed.

If it were me I would process and eat them. You can try to re-home them via craigslist or the free section on this site but be aware that people who take them on may also process and eat them.

You can always keep the hens and pets and just re-home the roosters.

I just asked a similar question on another thread. Besides CraigsList or butchering some people will take them to a local livestock auction.
