THIRD LEG ON CHICK

Hiya! I'm so glad your chick is doing well and her leg looks promising! My clover has 4 legs at 7 weeks old right now. She eats fine, perches fine and poops relatively normal. I still don't know about the egg thing sorry, I am worried myself as Clover also has a vent that is off to the side.

Yes, this is what I was afraid of. So, if egg bound, then she would die from this, I assume? I'm fine if she just can't lay eggs. Wouldl body just reabsorb eggs, or would egg bound mean death? I don't know if you can tell from photo, but leg is basically where vent should be, and vent is shifted to the right.
Egg bound would mean death unless treated, the body cannot reabsorb eggs. Can the babe poop ok? Mine had a LOT of pasty butt, for like 3 weeks but that has cleared up now.

I have had issues with some chicks in the past but none with extra limbs. I had a chick whose insides were outside. Most chicks with issues will pass on from difficulties associated with the deformities. I think it's often better to cull them.
