That does sound like a great project! She is one of Halo's Ams. Not the most consistent layer, but that seems to be a trait of that breed. She just started laying again, though.

Two are Welsummer NNs, the other is a mystery. So, I won't be needing any of your NNs, Nava.... although, needing and wanting are different things!!

I just got an e-mail from Fox 13 that they may come by and do a story on the swap! Everyone put your lip gloss on (except Stan)........:D

Nava, here I thought that Wheaton Am had stopped laying again this week, but no, she is just stealthy. There is a small area between the thatch roof and the ceiling of my new 'coop' inside my aviary. The front part is where we have pigeon boxes, and the back is just for storage. It is only about 6 inches high in the back, so I hardly have anything in there. I opened the panel on the side I don't use much yesterday, and there is a big, thick nest of hay with four little blue eggs in it!! I have no idea how she even squishes her fat self in there! But at least we now know that she is still laying!

ps, I do own 1 silkie, just 1. I couldn't resist her blue chick charms and now she's even more beautiful.

Okay, fine. You can wear the lip gloss and blue eye shadow, Stan, but please remember my house is just a block and a half off 4th street. Stay in the yard and don't wander off, or someone will think you are selling a lot more than chickens!!

UHHHH!! Now your scaring me!! And I was thinking about messing with you by wearing something a little outlandish. Well , outlandish for me. That could be a red shirt. I really am pretty conservative ...stan
