Third time around Tampa Bay Area Chicken Swap - Saturday, January 28th

Great thanks Anderson 8505!.

I hope to being a coop or two, some nest boxes, and bat houses.

I am hatching a soon and might have some mixed breed chicks.

Oh and I have a few beautiful roosters that I might bring as well.

I'll post pictures as soon.............

Cool MrFixit77, I missed the last swap that I was going to look at the bat houses, I know they are in my area and wouldn't mind them living in my yard and eating a couple million mosquitos before they eat me! Mosquitoes love me.

THIS swap is too far off, I'm ready to unload some chicks now! :)

A bat house would be pretty cool! I have a weird immunity to mosquitos that I inherited from my father's side, but I do have pitty on my son and BF, who get chewed up everytime we are outside.

Sorry, Anderson, I already put up signs so I can't bump up the date... save some chicks for us!

I candled the duck eggs tonight, and 6 out of 7 are looking great!!

I'm hatching too many too, I'm ready to come over and have you hold them for me until swap date

I have been considering selling my Wheaton Ameraucana. She lays a nice little blue egg, and is timid and gets picked on quite a bit. It may be perfect for her to go to a smaller flock with younger chickens that might not be as agressive toward her. Let me think on it.....

I am very new to BYC forum and live in St Pete. I have three chickens. They are about 6 mos (not laying yet, but hopefully soon!)

I would love to add one more chicken (I really want an Ameracuana or another blue egg layer) but heard it might not be a good idea to add a single hen to a "flock" because they might not take. But since my three girls are young, I thought it might be okay if I added one that is similar in age (6 mos to a 1yr?). Any thoughts on this?

Looking forward to meeting other chicken owners at the swap! ( I assume the swap is Jan 28th 2012 and this is a new swap posted to an old thread, right? or am I terribly confused...)
