Third time with chickens over many years

I got my first chickens back in the mid 1990's when I was single and lived on a small farmette in Wisconsin (with sheep and ducks and the Border Collies that herded them.) In 2001 I moved with my new husband to southern Illinois. We sold the Wisconsin chickens, and then about a year later started up another small flock. As they passed, we didn't add new chickens due to time constraints. Now, I just received baby chicks, again (I also think its so strange to get them in the US mail!) They are 5 weeks old this week. I've been doing research to catch up on all things chicken, and found this site. I'm happy to be here.
