This bird???

So about 6 m ago this bird appeared in my yard and has not left. It was smaller when it arrived. Alsways been skittish but has stayed with all the girls just the same. It makes weird noises. I picked it up out of the nesting box just today and it froze like a statue. I have never touched it before. She would t let me. Anyway, I keep thinking . Is this really a chicken? Or? Plz help!!!

Haha! No way! I don’t eat chickens . They are family, not food. Just kept wondering what kind of bird she was. She is very happy free ranging with the rest of my little hens.
