This chick is probably dead, but it's my first hatch...help

That temp is actually high if there's a fan - if there's a fan in there, you'd want it to be 37.5 C. So it would make sense that your little one hatched early, because temps that are a bit high can cause early hatches.

My guess from what you've described is that the humidity is wrong. Late deaths in incubation are often the result of incorrect humidity. The humidity should be lower in the beginning of incubation, I find around 30% works well for me but that can vary, and then during lockdown you bump it up to about 65%.

View attachment 2053020

I have eggs in the incubator. One chick hatched yesterday and had been clumsily stomping around my small incubator for 24hrs. I quickly opened the incubator and scooped her out a bit ago. I also swiped an egg to quickly candle and this is what i found (pics). It was on the underside of the egg, I think the chick may have cracked it. Theres no movement, or peeping from the egg, membrane is open with feathers sticking out, and possibly a toe visible. I dont know what to do 😥 I know its probably a lost cause, but I wanted to ask here before removing it. None of my other eggs have hatched, its been 24 hours since the first one...and I stupidly forgot what day I put them in, but knew time was close from candaling. Any advice?
that does not look good. I hope it's still ok. what happened? I hope it will survive.

Ok. Thanks a bunch. When these come out Im going to clean it and pop in the last of my fertilized brahma eggs (RIP to my roo Night Fury). I'll lower the temp, and get a gauge for humidity. I'll try to be a better egg/incubator mom this time 😕. Do you think I should chip at an air cell end and see if they are still alive? I cannot discern any movement from candling as they fill the eggs, and theres nothing noticeable from the outside... I dont really wanna cook them til Wednesday if they are dead.
