This coop?

not a chicken expert by any means but this is the one that I've been checking into as my "grow up pen" for guinea keets it seems to have more room than most and you could always expand the run area.

Interesting how they photograph them to look much larger than they are. The "Coop" part it 2' x 2' x 1' or pretty darn small. Roost bar is on the same level as the nest box so they will probably spend as much time pooping in the nest box as the "coop".

Yeah the run is bigger, could probably house 2 seramas? But the dimensions! Waist high again, all sizes include the overhangs so deduct about 6 inches. The people who sell these should really be held accountable.

My mom has two friends that know how to build. Maybe I could ask one of them to build like a 20 sf coop and a big run, and my mom and i can buy the materials to build it.

And browse through there. Look through both the small and medium coops to find a few for inspiration or that you think may be reasonable. If your friend is pretty handy he may be able to build one similar to whats there even if it doesn't have plans, though many of them have some sort of plan attached.

Would one of the small coops fit five, or would i need to go onto the medium coops section.

I had one of them for a couple of rabbits. I binned it after a couple of weeks. It leaked, the mesh came off and the wood was really flimsy. Best thing would be to get an old kids play house and proper chicken wire and get creative. Most people will have bespoke runs that are more suitable and easy to alter, add and maintain.
