Could this work for four or five chickens? I plan on asking my mom's co-worker to expand their current cage with the chicken wire he has left so they can have a bigger run to attach to this one so there is enough room. My mom decided that we weren't going to buy one from wish so I started looking for better ones on amazon, and this is the best (in my opinion) that i found.

I'd be wary.

First of all, all the commercially sold kits or prefabs I saw (for under the $3K price range) were made of flimsy materials that wouldn't hold up to the elements or predators. Secondly, there's no digging predator protection there. We dug in 18" and buried our hardware cloth 360˚ so raccoons, squirrels, dogs & coyotes couldn't get at our chickens. Third there isn't much run space at all.

Those pre-fab houses work ok for a few small bantams. I love the one I bought and now use it as a grow-out coop. Teaches them to go up the ramp, inside at night, etc. But for full size adult chickens living in one??... no way!

Also, most of them aren't built to withstand much weather. So if you decide to go that direction, it won't last long if you don't have it under some kind of shelter.
