The feed store I go to would win, 'cause most of their chicks have coccidiosis. Any they wonder why 1/2 of them die...

I feel really depressed when I leave there, I think it's a form of compassion fatigue. They always have several hundred chicks and I'd say that 75% of them have that droopy, fluffed look. Don't even get me started on the sick adult birds!

that's plain irresponsible of them. That kind of warrants SPCA intervention, as the animals are ill and nothing is being done about it.

oh, and btw, my chickens occasionally poop that texture and color, but usually it doesn't stay like that. They have been healthy up to this point.

Hard to say from a couple of photos, but you can medicate to prevent coccidiosis.

So wait what am I giving to this hen, she is acting fine and is even gone back to laying haven't seen another one of these poops yet. I think I will watch her a bit longer before giving her something.
