My one year old Isa Brown is laying inconsistently and is having regular shells and then shells like this. This shell is thin as well as deformed. Can you help me figure this out?

Hi there!

What is your current set up for your flock? I.e. run and coop sq ft.

Malformed eggs can be due to stress.
Have you noticed this particular hen be bullied at all?

I offer oyster shells. Should I give her liquid calcium? Is that some thing that is available? If so, how much and for how long?
I personally mix my chicken food with calcium dust, to make sure everyone is getting some. It may be caused by stress or illness though. Is there any changes or predators recently?

This is my coop for 5 hens. I usually free range them in the enclosed yard. today I am leaving them in the run until evening as I found an egg on the patio yesterday and want them to lay in their nesting boxes.
On a side note we have had 4 raccoons we have trapped in the last couple months. They are relentless but the coop is fortified and they cannot get in.

That's a lovely set up you have there!

I am wondering if the raccoon ruckus is causing her any stress.
My dog helps a lot with scaring off predators, but I have also found predators not even wanting to come near my run because of seeing these:

That and the electric wire.

Electrolyte supplement can help with stress. I would try giving her some to see if that helps. :)

I use mainly Hydro Hen 3 times a week:

Thank you. I’m new to this and just want to do what’s best for them and my new chicks who are 5 weeks now in the brooder. They are amazing and entertaining animals for sure. Thank you for the links for predators!!! I will for sure take your advice. 😁

Could be stress, could be a glitchy shell gland.
How long has this been going on?
Do your other birds(same breed?) lay these?
I don't think more calcium is the issue.
First, what all and how exactly are you feeding?
