
I'm am so very, very sorry for your pain.
My husband died a few years ago. It was completely unexpected, and I think that I know what you're talking about. I found that grieving wasn't as 'simple' as the loss of someone I loved - but also the loss of 'what could've been'.
Like others have said, you will eventually come to a point when you realize all of a sudden that you haven't cried today. And then one day someone will say something that reminds you of something he said or did and you will be able to happily share the story and laugh.
If you don't have someone who will listen to you talk about what you're going through, you need to find someone. Regardless of how it feels, you are not the only one who is - or has ever gone through this. You are NOT alone.
