This is a cockerel, right?

Just a quick post to confirm my thought that this barnyard mix chick is a cockerel. 6 weeks old.

Ok. Anyone know what the heck he might be a mix of? His feather patterns are confusing. Pea comb, barring, lacing, stumpy tail, yellow feathered legs. You can't see the back of his neck, but it's more black than the top of his head. I'm going to try to rehome him before he starts crowing. If he's still around after that, he will probably end up being dinner.

Looks like a Brahma mix to me.

Totally agree with Jed. I was thinking Brahma hatchery bird or mix
