I have my first eggs in my homemade mini fridge incubator. Being just a little cautious, I placed 4 thermometers in there, 2 digital and 2 mercury.
All 4 are reading different temperatures. I have 2 on the top shelf and 2 on the bottom, and even those side by side are reading different.
Now what am I supposed to do?

Take all 4 therm and set together on counter .Do they read same ? if they do then you have that variance in temp in your INC..If you don't fan try one ,if you got a fan change air flow..cva34

I will have to set them all side by side and see but I still won't know which one is right.
The two digitals are 37.7, 36.9 and the two mercury are 37.4 and 36.2 all in C.
How close to 99.5 do you really need to be?
Brian

Rather too low than too high. But I have never believed a hen keeps all eggs precisely at the same temp all the time, either. If they were all side by side and read differently, I'd split the difference.
