Honestly, to me, it looks like it's drying out and becoming sticky. Brownish/yellow signifies that. If there isn't anything on it and it's turning from the nice papery white color, it's a sign. Any time you have that much membrane exposed for any length of time, regardless of your humidity the chances it will dry up and become glued are much higher.
