Chickens Anonymous lol
Hi, I'm ThaSilverShadow
I have an addiction, I've been sober(addicted) for 4 months now....
Welcome, welcome to the flock!

Chickens are a gateway to other fowl and animals, so you are with likeminded friends here.

I just want to suggest, when getting new to you, rehomed chickens from sources you don't know, the new flock members always should be quarantined for at least 2 weeks- to a month, monitored. There are many diseases out there that can be super contagious- and some incurable. Some you might not even know it if the chicken is actually a carrier. It can take a very short time to completely decimate a flock.
We had scaly leg mites, and very bad worms (from a top breeder's birds) that nearly killed one new rooster with worm overload when we wormed him. We caught the issues while they were all quarantined before being added to the flock. She had no idea she had these issues. I'm just suggesting, educate yourself through this site as there many great threads, *know* what to look for, then, proceed with caution.
