She was just enjoying some free time out of the coop while the big, clumsy one (me) was cleaning up acorns. They seemed very confused because I wasn't eating anything I found! Have a pleasant day all! I was trying to take group shots, but no one was interested.
She is sooooooo adorable! How could anyone resist those fluffy beards and muffs? Certainly not me! In fact, they are just about my most prevalent weakness.
Haha yes, she is pretty. To me she reminds me of a Tiger's Eye gemstone for some reason! Her 'sister', Rainbow, is also an Easter Egger, but looks entirely different, she's got like a blue/grey splash effect on her feathers. I love that they look so different but keep that sweet bearded face!
Goats like acorns? Hmmn.........I might have to see about one. It's seriously a bumper crop- I threw out a kid's large sand pail and a half's worth yesterday and barely made a dent! Got hit in the back with an acorn too-ouch! Thanks for the compliments and for letting me share her with you all!
Whenever I scoop up a handful of acorns, the girls all come running thinking they are going to get some delicious treat. The expressions on their faces when they find out it's acorns is hilarious. They usually end up walking away in a huff while the goats are begging at the fence for just one more, lol. We took the shell off a couple of them and offered the girls the nut inside but they didn't like it.
Gotta watch out for those falling acorns, it's like little missals raining down!
