This is just an informational post for those who haven't "seen it all" yet, LOL. You've heard of wind eggs, also called other things, simple glitches where tiny eggs are laid that usually have only the albumen and no yolks. Well, that's what I thought I had when I found a perfectly round tiny green egg belonging to my 5 1/2 year old barred EE, Panda (BR x Blue Ameraucana). She lays roundish eggs, a light dull olive color with tan speckles so I know her eggs for sure in that Old Hens' Coop from the blue Ameraucana eggs.
I found it on the floor a few days ago under a roost bar, size of a large marble, and placed it in a carton. Today, decided to use it with some others to give to the hens in that coop, and thankfully, I cracked it open first. I expected the usual whites-with-no-yolk in there, but got the nastiest surprise I think I've ever gotten from a weird egg in any of my flocks. If you are squeamish, DO NOT LOOK! My first reaction was, "Ick, is that a body part??" Then, I cut it in half.

Thick, viscous bloody goo poured out and this round thing, which seems to be nothing more than a mass of congealed blood. Her eggs since have been normal. Just sharing for those interested in such things. Sorry I didn't think to photograph before I divided that thing.
