Thats as bad as the rake!
Seriously, I am glad I DONT understand the motives behind that kind of thing, lol.

Has anyone watched the police chase show on FX? A guy and his girlfriend stole a push mower. As the chase pursued they hit a traffic light. They made the turn and was hit head on by a semi. They both did not make it. The pickup was on the screen for a second when they where hit. I guess people will never learn there lesson?

Well, we're having to use the laundramat, as the well is a bit low lately, and a lady there last week told me not to leave my laundry baskets. I asked her why and she said she had all her laundry baskets stolen the last time she was at the laundramat.

So, laundry baskets, too.

Hmm. I wonder if "stealing someone elses lawn tools and chairs" could go into the "how to save money tips" thread?

Okay, now we can add laundry baskets to the list!

Like I said, it wasnt even how expensive it was or anything like that. Just principles. Heck. If they would have needed one so bad they could have ASKED and I probably would have just gave them the darn thing.

Now I am curious! What other miscellaneous things have people had stolen??

It amazes me the way people can justify to themselves when they've stolen from a friend. Years ago, while moving from one barn to another, one of my saddle pads got laid on a "friend's" tack box while I carried a load of stuff out to my truck. Came back and it was gone. Looked all over but there wasn't a sign of it. It was custom made for me and had my name woven into the design. Turns out the person who owned the tack box just opened it up and shoved the pad inside. Friends heard her bragging later about how she'd "swiped" it. The sad part was that she had enough money to buy and sell me so she could have bought her own at any time--including buying one with HER name woven into it. Instead she stole mine and eventually threw it away because everyone kept asking her how she got it and why didn't she return it. She made a point of cutting it before she threw it away, though, so that it would be worthless.

Sad, sad people.
