This is just bizarre,peoples morals?

The only thing I've ever had stolen from the yard was a black racing sulky. It wasn't a fancy one, it was one of my practice ones, but considering there is no one else around who races I couldn't figure it out. About a month later it was listed for sale in the Thrifty Nickel,, so I called about it and went to look at it, asked where they'd gotten it. Then I volunteered to take possession of my sulky without calling the police, or we could call the police and they could bring over the stolen report on it with the pictures of the Sulky. They swore they didn't know their son had stolen it, but they gave it back.

I know its not funny when people get things stolen, but WOW, I cant believe all the things people will up and take!!!

I manage an office building. People steal toilet paper - ALL THE TIME! These rolls are wrapped with paper. Once, the janitor & I unwrapped several and inserted notes that said, "Shame on you for stealing!"
It didn't help.

Toilet paper??? Thats pretty low.
As far as everything else people have mentioned, I am beginning to think anything that is not nailed down is at risk.Sigh.
It makes me determined, when I have my chicken coop, to keep it locked up and otherwise not accessible to anyone.

With theft in our neighborhood, no one got caught....we had three bicycles stolen, a shovel, a rake, a chair, copper wire after renovating house, air pump and get this, they even tried to take hubby's CD face plate and it was bolted down. And this recent one, they took our van's CD face plate as well. We made sure we locked our vans but somehow they still got in. Made a real paper mess all over, no valueables taken or left behind. Stupid teenagers are my guess.

I got a next door neighbor whose son is very mental handicapped and he made a habit throwing weeds and rose thorns over my side of the fence and one time he left a bunch of rose thorns just right underneath the pool stairs and if you were not aware of it, you would step on the thorn pile! Man I was MAD but I finally threw all of the weed trimmings, thorn trims, garden piles and tossed them back on their lilac bush...been sitting there for a long summer long LOL! No use reasoning with this man, he is already fourty some years old and been under his elder parents for so long. I am not sure what he is but I think he is mute, since he can not speak and he does repeative motions with his head or hands.

With us, I have a sneaking suspicion its teenagers as well, just because of what other people have experienced here.
The fact that they were on this property with no business being here, irritates me MUCH more than the rake theft!

When our house was being built and was to the point of being locked up at night, someone broke a window and pulled the carpet up in the master bedroom. That was all they took. The light fixtures and appliances were installed, but they just took the carpet from one room. I guess they really needed a rug.

I love the sugar syrup in the gas cans story. Sure would have loved seeing that person's reaction!

I like that thought and it is a better thought than mine, but I was thinking more of let them steal it and hope they leave it on the ground tines up and step on it and whack themselves in the nose..they still have to meet their maker but with a whacked up nose...that will teach em!
