With out knowing all the details its hard to judge those who posted the add. Atleast they are willing to offer it to somone who had the time and know how if they do want to rehab it. And instead of just letting die they have been feeding and watering it by hand that shows they care, just that they do not know how to fix it, or have the time and so on. And yes some people feed them to snakes. Its the circle of life. I do not feed my snakes chickens and even if I had one who was big enough I would not do so but others choose to. So its just hard for me to judge this person since I do not know the whole story.

People feed live mice to snakes all of the time. Sorry to sound callous, but I don't see how this is any different. If the chick is going to die anyway, it might as well die to benefit someone else's pet.

im sorry, i HATE snakes, let alone think about feeding one...

just YESTERDAY i found a snake in my young chick pen eating one of my baby geese..... i was livid! I went to fetch a shovel to kill it and the darn thing was gone. THIS is why i hate snakes.... plus i have children who always go to the coops with me. This is the second snake ive found. It terrifies me to think of my child getting bit.... yikes!

yes i know alot of people who have pet snakes, but i personally wouldnt go near it with a 15 foot stick...

I appreciate the snakes that eat the mice!!!!

I would rather see it fed to something that to be thrown in the trash - what do you do with the chicks that die...do you bury them....or throw them away somewhere? If you bury them - they are gonna be worm food....!

Ps - I have one chick in the bator now - that cannot walk.....I need to do something with it...any suggestions? Out of 42 eggs - I hatched 39 and only one chick with problems....poor little guy is so pitiful...!
