Some time back people had asked me to give them some break downs of economic events. Issues in my own life took precedent and I stopped doing it. Simply no time.

But, since people were interested and there are people on here that are also on Sufficient Self who are interested in this stuff let me put this out there.

Many of you will not recognize the names involved here, Harry Schulz is not a household name in most circles. There are others who are bigger names but few who are more reliable and steadfast. I put Harry in the same class as Jack Bogle.....

I've tried to gently convince someone I know who has a good chunk of money to invest in gold. They thought I was crazy. It is not a matter of if anymore, it is a matter of when.

I think our first real crisis is going to come this year when the food shortages hit. I warned family to store bags of rice and canned good. I know for a fact no one listens. I also know for a fact they are going to be at my door when the fan is covered. I also know I have saved enough food (and seeds) for myself, my fiance and my pets for 4 months. I do not have enough for others. Sorry that you spent your money on fast food and the newest crackberry when you should have been paying attention to the world around you. Maybe that is callous of me but I can't believe the lack of understanding in my peers about what is going on in the world. It is not business as usual, no matter how many people ignore what is going on.

We've stocked up on shampoo/conditioner, ibuprofen, allergy meds, hydrogen peroxide, things like that. We have lots of ammo, candles, soap, etc. We also live in a forest with a lake nearby so we won't go hungry when the stocked up food runs out.

We do not make very much money but what we do make I stretch as far as I can. The worst hit are going to be the ones I know who throw money around and have the means to prepare but don't.

It's only the products with pseudoephedrine in it. It is used by some to manufacture methamphetamine.

Substituted something else that doesn't work as well?
You can still get that stuff but you have to ask for it. The stuff on the shelves has the other.
So, if the box I grab off the shelf doesn't have that ingredient in it then why are they taking my name and DL number down for it??
I totally get it if it's the behind the counter, has that ingredient in it, and you want a case of it... totally get that.
But don't get attacking people who buy one adult and one kid box that doesn't have the 'bad stuff' in it. Boggles me.
*shrug* Guess that's off topic... and maybe only around here for all I know.

Am curious about the antibiotic thing though. Donno how to get those without a script.

dont do that here either where I shop,,antibiotics I get fish and bird meds,,same thing my vet told me,,just labeled for birds and fish and they sell it in any petstore,I order them online from places like revival and AtoZ vet supply..I have used them before and they work the same.
