This is Phyl(lis) is s/he a hen or a roo?

This is my Phyl, since he was about 3 weeks old I started referring to him as him but alas he’s a Silkie and who really knows? Today he is 9 weeks old, do you think Phyl is a boy or a girl? Pictures aren’t great. I cannot get him to stay still!

Me thinks your right Phil but do not take that to bank I am firm believer that it could be a hen also silky are so darn tough to call

Sexing Silkies this early is difficult, but I looks like a cockerel to me.

This is his hatch mate, Mabel. I believe pullet, had same feeling when she was a couple weeks old. She’s half his size.

And I have No Experience at all, I’m solidly going on a guess and gut feel. I could be completely wrong

My apricot is about 13 weeks now but I’m still not confident on girl or boy.
